Teri Robinson CPDT-KA
Teri is a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA) and studied psychology and animal behavior at USM. As a former veterinary technician, she has over 20 years in animal care experience.
She learned about positive reinforcement training in 1996 when she took her Alaskan Malamute, and greatest teacher, Nushka, through an obedience class and never looked back. She volunteered with service dog organizations NEADS and My Wonderful Dog,as well as the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. She started teaching classes in 2003, and found that she enjoys working with people has much as she enjoys working with dogs.
As the former manager/director of training for a large dog daycare/training facility in Portland, she trained new trainers, created the dog training curriculum, taught classes, organized seminars and agility trials and oversaw the care of 50 dogs a day.
As the kennel manager at the Animal Refuge League she oversaw the care for over 700 dogs a year, created the Shelter Dog Training Program pairing volunteers with shelter dogs and The Seniors to Seniors project, brining senior shelter dogs to local retirement communities and continues to volunteer in these programs.

Jill Simmons
Jill is the owner of Ivy League Dog Training and Photography Inc. She offers boarding/grow outs to one training dog at a time, and limited day spots. Raising golden retriever pups for their breeders is one of her most rewarding pursuits.
She enjoys working with dogs of all breeds and ages, though she does not accept severe aggression cases. She competes in AKC Obedience, Conformation, and Rally O. Jill tests Canine Good Citizen dogs, and enjoys training puppies using mainly positive methods.
She is a longtime member of The Golden Retriever Club Of America and a current member of the Association Of Pet Dog Trainers. She photographs pet dogs, working dogs, show dogs, and donates her time to taking pictures for the Animal Refuge League. You can find her dogs in the pages of the Orvis Catalog, the FetchDog Catalog, and The Golden Retriever Weekly. Jill is a "SuperModerator" for the national Golden Retriever Forum.

Jill attended Gould Academy as a high school student, Colgate University as an undergraduate, and earned a Masters from Wesleyan University. She taught English at the Culver Academies, the Hopkins School,and the Pomfret School for many years, before embracing her first love: Golden Retrievers. Jill has raised nine Goldens, and worked with hundreds of other pups & dogs.

She lives with her husband and 3 dogs. Liam, a GSD x, and retired agility dog, earned his novice NADAC and numerous CPE agility titles. Gimli (Sopers Mighty Gimli of Devon Folk CGC), a cardigan welsh corgi, has also earned numerous CPE titles and is working on his AKC rally titles. Brees (Visions What the Games Been Missing CGC) is the youngest cardi in the house and his educational focus is herding and agility. Liam and Gimli are registered through Therapy Dogs Inc. and were active volunteers in the therapy dog program at Maine Medical Center from 2009-2011. They have also done therapy work at Preble St (Florence house and Logan Place) and The Cedars Senior Living Center. Teri is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America.
